Wow, that felt good. Just like when they first started putting phones on airplanes. And instead of $8.95/minute, now it's $29.95 for the duration of this 11-hour flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco.

The cool part is that bandwidth-heavy services work pretty well. So far I've tried out...

Google Video (!)
Google Earth works albeit with some massive latency

Now, if I could only find someone to talk to via voice...

ADDED: Skype works, Google Talk works. Whooo boy, there goes that very last bit of offline sanctuary in this world...
